Having ice cream cravings on a daily basis is just part of who I am so when I found out there was an ice cream truck named Coolhaus, I had to look it up!

We all know the Architecture industry has been hit hard by the recession so how does one pay for the bills? Sell ice cream sandwiches! The truck is run by L.A. natives Natasha Case and Freya Estreller and made its debut at Coachella music festival in April. The name Coolhaus? A stark tribute to the architect giant himself, Rem Koolhaas. Flavors you will find are aptly named with an architectural theme. For example, Orange Julius Schulman (a blood orange sorbet named after the late architectural photographer.) With each sandwich retailed at $3.50, its a great treat, now just come to the east coast!

Are you a professional journalist? You write very well.

Thanks for the compliment! I’m not a professional journalist but find having a blog is a great way to log my thoughts, interests, and opinions. I’m an architect and photographer with a keen interest for all things design! Check back periodically as I begin to add personal projects I am currently working on! Thanks again!
