David Seidner – Paris Fashions 1945

David Seidner’s Paris Fashion 1945 was also showing at the ICP Museum. After the war in 1944, major fashion designers such as Lanvin, Lelong and Schiaparelli were enlisted to create miniature scale outfits to fit a wire frame mannequin just over two feet tall. The sensation would later resurface where Seidner photographed more than 200 wire framed dolls in its original man-made sets, although somewhat rough and bare-bones.

It begs the question, do we still need models?
