Architectural Photographer Julius Shulman passed away on July 15 2009 in LA at the age of 98. He was one of the most influential photographers during my school yrs and continues to be a re-occurring figure in my research. He was one of the pioneering photographers to bring Architectural Photography into the commercial world and ran it as a successful business. One of his most notable series is the Case Study House No. 22, an x-ray portrayal of homes built by Pierre Koenig as part of John Entenza’s design program. He will forever be an inspiration. How I wish I was born in his era.
