A recent article in PDOnline introduced Colleen Plumb, a graphic designer and photographer who has adapted her interest and skills in book design into the creation of several photography books. Her recent project titled “Animals Are Outside Today” is a beautiful play on scales and imagination as the composition leaves the viewer intrigued as to what is beyond the square frame format.

Another recent project entitled “Quality Meats” is a beautiful handbound cloth cover book. It got me thinking, photography presented within the format of a book versus an exhibition space.
